As part of the selection process you may be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, however all cases of criminal record history are dealt with on a case by case basis.

Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.

All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) in your own time prior to any unconditional offer being made.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Application Support ICT Team within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Application Support provides second line support across a variety of NHS systems to a workforce of circa 4,000. Excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to swiftly resolve problems effectively are essential. We assist in the daily running of clinical applications from prescribing and medicines administration to medical records and clinic management.

The successful applicants will be responsible for several ever-changing projects including system upgrades, software rollouts, floor walking and regularly performing extensive audits. Experience of using Microsoft packages to an advanced level is essential.

Demanding, exciting, and rewarding, you will be working with a friendly, sociable team of 7 highly skilled individuals. We welcome applications from newly qualified ICT professionals and those that may currently work in a service desk or similar role, experience of working within an NHS environment is preferred.
