Deputy Ward Manager
1x Permanent Post
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Deputy Ward Manager at Adriatic Low Secure Unit within Ardenleigh.
We are looking to recruit a dedicated and highly motivated individual who is passionate about providing high quality and compassionate care to female adolescents who are experiencing complex mental ill health and/or emerging personality disorders and who demonstrate challenging behaviour. We are looking for a true leader for our work force, who can offer empowerment and support on a shift by shift basis. A leader who can provide clinical and managerial supervision and dedicate themselves to the ongoing professional development of all of our staff members.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team committed to delivering care within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). We are keen to have a workforce who is dedicated to working with our client group with an aim to support them in developing their own skills to manage their distress. We are seeking staff that can be positive solution focused role models.
The successful applicant will assist the Ward Manager in the provision of clinical leadership, driving up and maintaining quality care and being a positive clinical role model. This will provide an ideal opportunity to extend your skill base in clinical leadership and ward management, with opportunities to become involved in a variety of work streams including recruitment, service and staff development and audit.
You will receive regular supervision and training to support both your personal development and the services objectives; to enable you to deliver not only sound clinical practice but also to support the learning of others within and on placement to the team.
This role will require you to work across a 24/7 rota which will include night duties where you will hold responsibility for the Ardenleigh Site as the Duty on Site Senior Nurse.
Ardenleigh provides specialist care for service users that often have complex mental health needs and offers support in people’s recovery through holistic treatments; promoting social inclusion, self-management, personnel autonomy and independence. Successful applicants must be able to work in challenging and dynamic environments, and will need to demonstrate a range of skills including effective communication, empathy, self-awareness, and critical self-reflection skills.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
